Some employees from the Harlandale ISD joined hundreds of other people getting down right dirty for a good cause. On December 1, teams of mostly women took part in the Dirty Girl Mud Run at the National Shooting Complex. The run though wasn’t exactly a race. It was not timed and there was no real competition. Instead, it was a fun, muddy obstacle course that participants laughed their way through. Proceeds raised help raise money and awareness of breast cancer.
Some of the HISD employees who participated included Samantha Gallegos, Directory of Secondary Education, Sonia Villa, Administrative Assistant at Frank Tejeda Academy, Maria Castro, Pre-K Mentor, Kristal Morales, Adams ES Teacher, Marty Ferrari, Administrative Assistant for Benefits, Rosalinda Rangel, Curriculum and Instruction, and Miranda Ferrari, Substitute.
