Trainings help rev up teachers

With the start of the new school year only weeks away, teachers and administrators are hard at work, taking part in several trainings. About 100 new teachers were the first to get oriented with the district. They met administrators and their principals and learned about policies and procedures during an all day session at the Charles Boggess Center on Monday, August 13. Over the course of the next several days, those first-year teachers along with faculty and staff throughout the district will be part of several different trainings on a variety of topics, from STAAR to lesson planning to social, emotional intelligence training. These classes are designed to help them prepare for the new school year.
