Even with all the excitement of the first day of school, kindergarten students at Stonewall had yet another reason to celebrate. Toyota representatives arrived at the campus Monday afternoon with a truck full of new school supplies for all five kinder classrooms. From markers, crayons and pencils to spirals, backpacks and construction paper, Toyota delivered everything the kids would need for the new school year and beyond.
Toyota’s General Manager, Brian Watt, explained how State Representative Joe Farias suggested the south side company give to a Harlandale School, Stonewall Flanders in particular. Mr. Watt then challenged his employees who answered the call loud and clear.
The four and five year olds had a loud message themselves. In unison they screamed, “Thank you, Toyota.”
