Students at Carroll Bell and Bellaire Elementary received a special gift by the generous employees of Golden State Foods Foundation and the United Stationers. All first graders both schools received a new backpack filled with some much needed school supplies: spiral notebook, box of crayons, glue sticks, colored markers, pencils case, tissues, a pack of paper, a ruler, a box of pencils and a package of erasers. The donations came as a bi relief for students and classrooms.
Natalie Powell of Golden State Foods Foundation said they have been working with Carroll Bell and Bellaire for the past five years to help support students. The company’s forty employees each pitched in throughout the year to raise money to buy all the supplies and backpacks.
As each student received their new backpack, they excitedly exclaimed “Thank you”.
