The Harlandale High School Boys Varsity Cross Country Team is the 29-4A District Champions! The Indians brought home the first place trophy from the district championship tournament held Wednesday, October 24. Four of the seven member team also placed in the top 10 and earned spots as individual regional qualifiers as well as First Team All-District honors. They are Senior Ernesto Ruelas (placed 2nd), Senior Rigo Cardenas (3rd), Senior Michael Damian (4th), and Junior Manuel Vasquez (8th). Earning Second Team All-District titles were Junior Andres Arredondo (11th) and Sophomore Justice Medina (13th). The boys will compete in the Region 4 Championship on Saturday, November 3 at the National Shooting Complex, 5931 Roft Road.

 The HHS Girls Varsity Cross Country team finished fourth overall and junior Beatrice Esparza placed fifth overall. She was named First Team All-District and earned a trip to the Regional Championship as an individual qualifier.
