Frontier Bowl week is in full swing and it got off to an early start Monday, November 5. It all started when Harlandale and McCollum fans started lining up outside the Athletics Office at 2:00 a.m. They weren’t alone for long. WOAI’s Cleto Rodriguez and Chick-fil-a kicked off the Inaugural Frontier Bowl Breakfast at 5:30 a.m. with about 100 students, parents and administrators dancing, laughing and playing ball at Harlandale Memorial Stadium. Spirit groups from both high schools then showed up at Central Office to decorate the atrium in all things maroon, green and gold, proving that the 48-year in-district rivalry is alive and well. It is the oldest high school football bowl game in San Antonio.
