Terrell Wells Middle School’s Jeremy Herrera helped the Football University 8th Grade National Team make it passed the first round. On December 1, the 35-member team played Dallas and had a come-from-behind win. Dallas was leading 12-0 at the half but San Antonio’s defense held them there while the offense kicked it into high gear. The S.A. team won 14-12. Later that day, the boys also played a team from Austin and beat them too, making them the State Champions!
The San Antonio team is now gearing up for the regional finals December 8-9 in Kansas City, Missouri.
