Students at the Frank Tejeda Academy got to do a little shopping without having to leave their school. Thanks to donations from faculty and staff across the district, FTA held a rummage sale December 20 at the Boggess Center.
Students were organized into groups and allowed to “purchase” items using tickets they earned for having good attendance. The teens excitedly browsed all the tables, trying to choose between home items, clothing, shoes, toys, stuffed animals and games that they could use for themselves or as gifts.
The FTA rummage sale has become an annual Christmastime tradition that rewards students for their hard work and dedication.
