When two groups can work together, they can achieve even more than working alone. That was the case February 2 when Harlandale High School students Jason and Cresencio Ramos teamed up with McCollum High School Counselor Michelle Tallon for the 28th Annual Tower Run and Climb.
Jason and Cresencio took part in the competitive portion which included a one mile run and 952-stair climb to the top of the Tower of Americas. Cresencio finished in just 13:26, taking first place in the 0-19 division and 4th overall, just a 1:06 behind the overall winner. Jason Ramos placed 7th overall. Ms. Tallon participated in the non-competitive stair climb for charity.
The Annual Tower Run and Climb is a fundraising event for the Lone Star Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
