The Texas Cavaliers have selected Angelina Fernandez as the City Council District 3 winner of its River Parade Art Contest. The Morrill Elementary fifth grader will receive a check for $1,000 to benefit her school’s art program as well as a one-week scholarship for Summer Art Camp at the Southwest School of Art.
Zachary Morin from Adams Elementary and Christopher Guevara from Columbia Heights were runners-up for this year’s contest. Both students will receive a check for $500 to go towards their school’s art program.
Angelina and the other City Council District winners will be recognized at a news conference on February 20. At that time, the grand prize winner will also be announced.
