Harlandale High School’s Film School walked away with some major awards at Monday night's CineFestival Youth Program. Nicholas Rodriguez won two awards, Best Narrative Film, and the Emerging Artist Award for his film "The Exterminator." Antonio Rodriguez won Best Actor for his role that film. There were two other students who worked on the film that also deserve credit: Jesus Ramirez, cinematographer, and Jeremiah Valdez, sound. Mr. Samuel Lerma is the instructor.
According to its website, CineFestival en San Antonio is the nation’s original and longest-running Latino film festival. This year, CineFestival is celebrating its 35th year in existence by showcasing more than 40 short, documentary and feature films at the Guadalupe Cultrual Arts Center, now through March 2.
