Indianettes dance around the competition

The Indianettes of Harlandale High School danced their way to victory March 2 when they competed in the American Dance and Drill Alamo Classic at Wagner High School. The girls walked away with trophies for Best Overall Choreography, Best Overall Presentation, and Best in Class. They also received first place trophies for their jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary routines. The officers scored a Division I on their jazz routine while the team received the Sweepstakes and Gussie Nell Davis Award for scoring over 90 in all team routines. In the individual competitions, Rene Alvarez took first place and Karina Domingues placed second.
