You can find them on the basketball court and even on the big screen, but on March 18 groups of Harlandale students graced the stage at the School Board meeting at Kingsborough Middle School.

Members of the KMS 8th Grade Boys Basketball A-Team got the meeting started by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge. They also showed off their Championship trophy after having an undefeated season, ending with an 11-0 record.

The San Antonio Film School at Harlandale High School was recognized for receiving several awards at the 4th Annual “Can’t Beat Love” film contest and the CineFestival Youth Program. Students from Career & Technical Education (CTE) classes – Construction Technology and Auto Tech - were also honored for their success at the regional SkillsUSA competition and advancing to the upcoming state competition in Corpus Christi on March 27. A big round of applause also erupted when the audience got to meet the Business Professionals of America (BPA) students from McCollum High School who will compete in the national competition in Orlando, Florida May 8-12.
