Gifted & Talented students from across the Harlandale ISD were treated to a little fun and excitement away from their classrooms on March 22. About 380 elementary school kids spent the morning at the Charles Boggess Center for the 5th Annual G&T Spring Fling.
It was teachers and administrators who really got the kids going, performing to the Looney Tunes Overture and Harlem Shake. The dancing continued when they were taught how to zumba and rumba. Then, there were several break-out sessions where students got to take part in creating recycled art, writing haiku poetry, and making clay pottery. The children also had the opportunity to make mummy body parts out of tape.
