New visitor id system now in effect

In the interest of keeping our children safe, Harlandale I.S.D. has implemented a new visitor management system at all schools and satellite offices. The KeepnTrack system enables office staff produce visitor badges, monitor volunteer hours, and electronically check all visitors against registered sexual offender databases. The overall goal of this system is to increase the safety of our schools.

All visitors are now greeted and asked for a government or state issued photo identification card, for example: Driver’s License, Military ID, etc. The designated staff member then scans the visitor’s identification and issues a yellow visitor’s sticker. The identification card is immediately returned to the visitor. At no time is a visitor’s identification card to be kept by a staff member. The visitor’s sticker has his/her picture, name, date, time of visit and the destination in the school in which he/she is visiting. Visitors continue to wear the sticker during their entire visit and return it to the office before leaving.
