The Harlandale Middle School auditorium was packed Monday evening as 45 students were sworn in to the National Junior Honors Society. The students sat in the front rows while their parents walked around them taking pictures of the momentous occasion. Also there to welcome them into the prestigious group was Superintendent Rey Madrigal who encouraged them to continue striving toward excellence in education. He and Principal Katherine Pena congratulated each new member as they walked across the stage to receive their certificates.
