Parents of some Harlandale ISD students are leading by example, graduating from a special program hosted at the Collier Elementary School Round Building.

The Maestro Program is an immigrant integration program that gets parents involved in their child’s education while helping them adjust to American culture and the English language. The program has been in operation since 2009 but, on May 29, 2013, the first group of women, ranging in age from 20-60, received their certificate of completion from teacher Nena Castañeda.
