Batter up… and up, and up, and up, and up. That is how the championship game played out June 4th during Harlandale ISD’s Employee Wellness Softball Tournament.

Harlandale High School and Bellaire Elementary met up for a second time and batter after batter took to the field scoring home run after home run. HHS won 17-7 and clinched its fourth straight Employee Wellness Softball Tournament Championship. In an earlier game, the undefeated Bellaire team had fallen to HHS 9-3b but since it was a double elimination tournament, they were forced to face the Indians again.

Harlandale’s team was full of hard hitters, including teachers, teaching assistants and coaches. One player, Ms. Alex Carramon, even hit a Grand Slam during their game against McCollum the night before.
