Some students are getting creative while beating the heat. They headed back to school to take part in the Fine Arts Academy from July 8-19. An entire wing of Adams Elementary has been transformed into a fine arts learning center and students get to choose which activity to participate in - violin, guitar, choir, origami, painting, theatre or dance.

During the first day In Ms. Jeanne Dezaro’s class, students were getting to know their puppets.

“I’m playing with the puppy. He is so fluffy, hairy, and fat. We are just playing with the puppets to get ideas for the play we are making. The teacher wants to do Minions,” explained Jacklyn Delgado.

All the students’ talents will go on display during the Fine Arts Show which will take place the last day of the academy.
