The Harlandale High School’s boys cross country team is the 29-4A District Champion – for the second year in a row.
They captured the title October 23 while competing against 56 other runners at a tournament in Medina Valley. The Indians’ seven-man team was led by senior Manuel Vasquez who finished third overall, followed by junior Justice Medina and senior Andres Arredondo. The pack was rounded off with teammates Jacob Garcia in 11th, Jeremy Wilson in 13th, Jason Ramos in 22nd, and Miguel Martinez in 26th.
The top three teams in the district along with the top 10 individual qualifiers now move on to the Region 4 Championships to be held Saturday, November 2 at the National Shooting Complex.
