Columbia Heights campus has been invited to a special 6 year partnership with the San Antonio Museum of Art. On Thursday, August 27 the entire campus was taken on an exclusive tour of the museum and treated to a catered luncheon. The teachers were given an opportunity to collaborate with museum staff in developing specialized lesson plans that correlate with various art exhibits. During these six years, Columbia Heights students will have an opportunity to tour the museum with their class as many time as needed. The museum will develop specialized TEKS lesson into these tours, with plenty of hands on activities, so that the students will have a better knowledge and understanding through these experiences. The Administration and Staff is very honored to have been given such a wonderful opportunity for our community of students.
