Employees from USAA visited the Jewel Wietzel Center to spread holiday cheer on Dec. 15.

As part of the annual tradition, USAA brightened spirits with gifts and a special visit from Santa.

Wietzel students sang Christmas carols and for the first time performed the play “A Christmas Carol.”

Jewel Wietzel Center Principal Jennifer Bernal-Tamaren seized the opportunity to talk to the students about the importance of generosity.

“We each have gifts and talents inside of us that we must share and serve others, this is our purpose and our calling, to serve others with our gifts and talents,” Tamaren told the students. “It’s not about how much money you have and it’s not about what you look like on the outside that brings you value, it’s what’s on the inside that does, that is your worth and that is your value.”
