Several Harlandale ISD teams competed in the First Lego League Robotics competition recently held at Wagner High School.

First Lego League is a robotics tournament that promotes teamwork and respect through its use of Core Values.

Teams are required to investigate a problem, develop a solution, and present their findings.

Finally, the teams must then design and program a custom robot to meet the challenges set forth on the robotics playing field.

The top six finishers at this qualifying meet move on to the Regional Championship scheduled for March 14 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Leal Middle School earned a qualifying spot and will be headed to the Regional Championship later this year. Harlandale ISD will host a FLL competition on Feb. 11 at McCollum High School.
