Uresti Brothers give back to Harlandale ISD in a spooktacular way

The Uresti Brothers hosted their first annual trunk-or-treat event in the McCollum High School parking lot on Oct. 25.

Kids of all ages lined up while they went from trunk to trunk collecting as much candy as they could carry.

Everywhere you turned you ran into such creative costumes, from matching hotdogs to hand-made monsters to the scary Pennywise clown with the red balloon.

State Rep. Tomas Uresti wanted to make this event as safe as possible for the community of Harlandale ISD.

“We wanted the Sheriff’s Department here giving away toys and candy and letting the kids get into the vehicles,” Tomas Uresti said. “But most importantly, we wanted them here to watch over everyone and make sure this event ran smoothly.”

Along with the trunk-or-treating, there was a costume and trunk contest where everyone had a chance to win Mission baseball, Comic-Con and Spurs basketball tickets!

Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector Albert Uresti was amazed at the turnout of their event.

“As an elected official who lives on the South Side, I’m very proud to be part of this community,” Albert Uresti said. “The South Side has always supported us and we are always anxious to give back to the community!”
