Harlandale ISD Clothing Closet seeking donations

The spirit of giving is upon us and if you would like to donate this season, the Harlandale ISD Clothing Closet is a perfect place to do so.

Harlandale ISD social workers have a portable in which they keep donations available for district families in need. The portable has clothing, food, hygiene items and school supplies.

“We rely on donations to keep it stocked,” District Social Worker Brian Jaklich said. “At this time of year, we really start running out of certain items.”

Currently, the biggest need is socks and underwear (must be new) as well as coats and jackets of all sizes. They are also in need of hygiene items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, laundry detergent, dish soap and toilet paper.

If you are interested in donating, please contact District Social Worker Brian Jaklich at (210) 989 – 4496. You are also welcome to drop off donations at the Sosa Parent Ed Center, located at 901 March Ave.

“We take donations all through the year so if any employees and community members want to clean out their closets, we are extremely grateful,” Jaklich concluded.
