Harlandale ISD welcomes new board members and announces reorganization

Harlandale ISD welcomed new board members Elaine Anaya-Ortiz, District 5, and Elizabeth F. Limon, District 6. The district also welcomed incumbent District 7 Ricardo Moreno.

Surrounded by friends, families and supporters, Anaya-Ortiz, Limon and Moreno, were sworn in during a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees held at Harlandale ISD Central Office on May 7.

They join current board members Juan Mancha (District 1), Christine Carrillo (District 2), Esequiel “Zeke” Mendoza (District 3), David Abundis (District 4) and Ricardo Moreno (District 7).

During the meeting, the board also voted and announced the reorganization of the officials voting Moreno to serve as president, Mancha as vice president and Mendoza as board secretary.

The next board meeting will take place at Adams Elementary on May 20.
