Superintendent's Message

Harlandale ISD is proud to congratulate our 865 high school graduates from the class of 2019. A college bound education is our goal for every student. Our graduating seniors received an award letter in their graduation packet for scholarship funds through the Harlandale Education Foundation. Graduates who do not receive the Pell Grant are eligible for a $1,250 scholarship through the Harlandale Education Foundation.  Those who do receive the Pell Grant will be awarded $625.  These scholarships are available in large part due to the generosity of Harlandale ISD employees along with a friend of Harlandale, who matches dollar for dollar each employee’s contribution.

All HEF Scholarship funds must be accessed within one year of the initial processing date.  Disbursements will be made directly to the college in two consecutive payments, based on processing criteria.

Congratulations to Morrill Elementary for receiving recognition as one of Bexar County’s highest-ranking elementary schools in 2019.  Children at Risk recently awarded Morrill a Gold Ribbon School distinction. Thanks to Ms. Tina Mireles and the outstanding staff for their passion and dedication.

STEM Early College High School is currently accepting applications from incoming freshmen interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Submission deadline is July 12.
