
Harlandale ISD recently partnered with the DoSeum to provide ten teachers with staff development in the latest Engineering curriculum designed for elementary students.
The program is called Engineering is Elementary (EiE) and it supports educators and children with curricula and professional development that fosters engineering literacy.
“The EiE curriculum is both engaging and interactive so students love to participate in activities and adventures that are now part of their classroom experience,” GT Specialist Sonia Cuellar said.
Two Harlandale ISD GT teachers: Kimberly Chason and Josefina Betancourt were recipients of a scholarship that allowed them to go to training at the Museum of Science in Boston through EIE last summer.
Thanks to the Harlandale ISD Science Department, several key teachers were chosen to participate in this program. Congratulations to all of the teachers selected to participate:
