Hard work and dedication paid off for 80 STEM Early College HS seniors who graduated from Palo Alto College on May 25.

That means 90 percent of the senior class earned an associate’s degree before even graduating high school.

“Most Early College high schools in Texas have never exceeded 30 percent,” STEM ECHS Principal Eddie Rodriguez said.

Thanks to a unique partnership with the Alamo Colleges, STEM ECHS students are enrolled in college courses at Palo Alto College in addition to their classes at STEM ECHS without having to pay for tuition and textbooks.

STEM ECHS seniors will receive their high school diplomas on June 1 at 2 p.m. The graduation will be held at Trinity University’s Laurie Auditorium.

Way to go, Rattlers!
