iCivics
iCivics (formerly Our Courts) is a web-based education project designed to teach students civics and inspire them to be active participants in our democracy. iCivics is the vision of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who is concerned that students are not getting the information and tools they need for civic participation, and that civics teachers need better materials and support.
Law Related Education
The Law-Related Education (LRE) Department of the State Bar serves as a catalyst to advance law related and civic education programs throughout the state by curriculum development, educator training, and grant administration.
Working with the legal community, public and private school districts, universities, and Regional Educational Service Centers, the department administers numerous programs designed to improve the administration of justice and promote civic education and participation.
