Administrative Transfers
Administrative Transfers may be initiated by the Pupil Personnel Office to assign a student to a different school for reasons including, but not limited to concerns related to safety, sexual assault, bullying or extraordinary conditions affecting the student or school.
It must be initiated by the Pupil Personnel Office, Assistant Superintendent or Director for Elementary or Secondary Curriculum and Instruction if one or more of the conditions described above exist.
Administrative transfers are only revocable by the Pupil Personnel Department or Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
Administrative Transfers are good for the period of time indicated on the transfer form. Unless otherwise specific on the transfer form, at the end of a child’s 5th and/or 8th grade year, the Administrative Transfer is no longer valid; and the child is required to attend the middle or high school in the attendance area in which they live.
