Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Terri Pearce
My name is Terri Pearce and teach American Sign Language. I went to Texas State University and the University of Texas of San Antonio where I studied Adoloescent Psychology and ASL. While attending Texas State, I worked for a Deaf / Mental Health Unit where I worked as a Caseworker for Deaf for eight years. I moved back to San Antonio and continued my education at the Universty of Texas at San Antonio. Upon returning to San Antonio, I got my ASL Interpreter's Certification and began working as a Certified interpreter for the Deaf at South San ISD. After eight years, I moved to teaching and started working at McCollum in 2005. While working at Mc Collum, I made life long friends which made it difficult when I decided to take another job opportunity closer to home. I worked for NEISD and NISD before I realized my home was back at McCollum. I ended up marrying one of those "life - long friends" I had met years before here at McCollum. Together, we have three wonderful sons, an obnoxious dog, and a very fluffy cat.
I am super excited to be back here at McCollum where I plan to spend my reamaining teacher career. Hope everyone has a great year!
