Mr. David M. Rodriguez
David Rodriguez is in his 29th year as a music educator. He is the head band director at Terrell Wells where he is committed to building and maintaining a comprehensive music program. He has been leading the award-winning Trojan Band for the past 19 years where he conducts the TWMS Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble, teaches beginner band classes, and supervises all aspects of the 150+ member music program. Mr. Rodriguez grew up in San Antonio, graduating from John F. Kennedy High School. He attended Texas A&I University-Kingsville, currently TAMUK. Graduating in 1991, he received a Bachelor of Music Education, and is currently completing a Master of Music Education Degree at UTSA. He holds a Texas Lifetime Teacher Certificate, PreK–12. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators Association. He has been an active TMEA Region Organizer and Middle School Region Band Clinician, as well as an active UIL adjudicator throughout the state. In his free time, Mr. Rodriguez has enjoyed singing with the San Antonio Symphony Mastersingers. He loves watching movies, attending concerts, visiting theme parks and museums. He is also fond of spending time participating in family activities.
