Mr. Scott Lancon

After graduating from L.D. Bell High School in 1993, I joined the United States Navy and became a Nuclear Reactor Operator. I served for 10 years aboard 2 different types of submarines and one stint on shore duty at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Honolulu, Hawaii, serving at the end of the First Gulf War and the beginning of the second. I only surfed 10 times, but I did get a 4 year Bachelor's degree in 2.5 years. After completing my service and getting my degree, I ventured out in the "real" world, where I had jobs ranging from Production Supervisor on the floor of a factory to Sales and Project Management positions in the Oil and Gas and Pharmaceutical industries. I believe this experience has given me invaluable insight into what a student will need to know as they transition from the world of high school to the world of business after graduation.

Personally, I am a big fan of Star Wars, Japanese and Chinese culture, media, and martial arts, baseball, football, and taking care of my family. I am currently learning French via Duolingo to continue to be a lifelong learner and keep my mind sharp. I am also a fan of Bobbleheads, Pez dispensers, and other knick-knacks, especially if they relate to my other hobbies.
