Wietzel Center, we are dedicated to provide speicalized and individualized services and instruction that edifies and empowers students with disabilities in a compassionate, sctructured and positive environment. Thereby, our goal is to transform and enhance each student's maximum potential, and to improve their quality of life in order for them to function independently and to be a productive, contributing member of our commmunity.
Focus for Jewel C. Wietzel Center
- Partnership and Collaboration with community business partners, district campuses and departments, AACOG, TWS-VRS, District Social Worker and Community in Schools, Community Based instruction, Via Trans, Public transportation student training, Center for Healthcare Services and Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT).
- Social Skills structured and integrated lessons and strategies; (CHAMPS, Learning for Life, Restorative Justice, Sanford Harmony). Staff/student support for home campuses, collaborative relationship with home campuses, parent communication, Community Based Instruction, public transportation student training, Center for Healthcare Services, Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT).
