Hello! My name is Solimar Alvarez. I am a graduate from Texas A&M University- Kingsville and graduated in 2018. This is my 3rd year teaching, but first year teaching at Collier eLEMENTARY. I am a McCollum Cowboy graduate, and I am excited to be back in HISD as well as teaching for the district. I love what I do, and have always known I wanted to teach. My favorite thing to see in the classroom is when the students lightbulbs finally come on, and they understand and can explain what they have learned.
