Ms. Sophia E. DiGonis
Sophia E. DiGonis is an ELA teacher at Harlandale High School. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Music
Theory and Composition and she is certified in English 6-12 as well as Music EC-12. She is published and anthologized in the U.S., the U.K. India and Greece.
She has three book titles on Amazon and Barnes & Noble as well as Kindle and other places readers can access her publications. Her titles are A Voice Over Time (2007),
Mysterium (2012), and Shine: The San Antonio Mysteries (2016). Other magazine publications inlcude Voices De La Luna: A Quarterly Literary and Arts Magazine (Published
in San Antonio, Texas) as well as The Brooklyn Voice (published in Brooklyn, New York). She is also an accomplished pianist.
Ms. DiGonis has also won awards for her research in music and language learning in 2017 and how music fascilitates skills in literature as well as math and science and
how the music composers and authors as well as poets from the Romantic Era used the same elements to create stories, poetry and music at the UTSA Spring Research Conference
in 2010. She is known for seeking out out of the box ideas for research and she is always looking for cutting-edge ideas to create new innovations in education.
