Elaine Anaya-Ortiz

For Ms. Elaine Anaya-Ortiz, serving as trustee for Harlandale ISD’s Single Member District 5 since May 2019 has been a meaningful way to give back to the community that shaped her.
A lifelong resident of the Harlandale Community, she and her husband, Dennis, are both proud graduates of McCollum High School. Their three sons are also McCollum graduates, each having earned a bachelor’s degree. Their oldest son recently completed his master’s degree in December 2024, and another will begin his master’s program in spring 2025.
Ms. Anaya-Ortiz earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio and is a firm believer in the power and impact of public education. In addition to her role on the board, she volunteers her time with the local youth baseball and softball program and remains active in her church community.
