Purchasing & the Warehouse operate as a division of the Finance Department, while serving as a support unit to the District's mission of "A family working together to provide a high quality education where all students graduate to become productive and successful citizens for the 21st century."
Our Mission
The primary mission of the Purchasing Department is to provide strong direction in the procurement process through knowledge, teamwork, and communication with the aim of enhancing operating efficiencies for our schools and departments as well as ensuring the absolute transparency of all transactions in demonstration of maintaining an optimal level of excellence, fairness, and integrity in all aspects of our work. This provision of exemplary service within our 14 square miles of excellence must be applied in a professional and innovative manner, consistent with local, state, and federal laws. These areas of service include:
Strategic sourcing of material, supplies, and services necessary to support the District; multi-faceted curriculum, programs, and activities
Efficiently scheduling of material distribution (Warehouse) throughout the District
Provision of cost effective control measures of District printing needs, MHS Printshop, in accordance with targeted cyclical demands
Controlled storage and provision of District archives in reflection of state and local guidelines
Purchasing delivers on its mission directives, while serving as a beacon of fiduciary leadership.
