SAN ANTONIO- JUNE 30, 2020- HARLANDALE ISD WELCOMES NEW PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER
Mariana Veraza will be responsible for media relations and supporting all communication efforts throughout the district.
Veraza’s previous role was the communications editor for Harlandale ISD. She has helped with the migration of the district’s new website as well as producing support material for students, parents and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has an extensive background working with the media. Some of her previous roles include multimedia journalist, reporter, and news anchor.
“We are excited to have Ms. Veraza lead the communications department at Harlandale ISD, she has already proven her potential and has been of great support to our district,” said Harlandale’s Superintendent Gerardo Soto.
Veraza has a master’s degree in communication from the University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio and a bachelor’s degree in bilingual communication from the University of The Incarnate Word in San Antonio as well.
“I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to everything my team and I can do to continue helping Harlandale ISD and supporting the district’s mission and purpose,” Veraza said.
