Harlandale ISD is excited to invite paraprofessionals and staff members to a Information Session on Monday, January 5, 2026, focused on expanding educational opportunities and career advancement.

The session will be hosted in partnership with Grand Canyon University (GCU) and led by Denise Nuncio, GCU University Development Counselor. Participants will learn about degree pathways, transfer credit opportunities, financial aid and scholarship resources available to district staff.
During the session, attendees will receive guidance on:
Reviewing previous college coursework and transfer credit options
Completing the 2025–2026 FAFSA using GCU’s school code (001074)
Exploring degree programs aligned with career growth in education and beyond
Accessing resources for military families and individuals with international coursework
The session will take place in person from 10:30AM -4:00 PM at the Central Office Board Room, 102 Genevive, San Antonio, TX 78214, with a virtual Zoom option beginning at 11:00 AM for those unable to attend in person.
Additional information on scholarships and program offerings will be shared with participants through provided attachments.
