Harlandale ISD TIA Threepeat Designations

The Texas Education Agency has once again approved Harlandale ISD’s Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designations, marking the third consecutive year our District’s outstanding educators have earned this prestigious recognition. This year, 48 additional teachers across elementary, middle and high school campuses received new designations, further highlighting Harlandale ISD as a leader in teaching and learning.

The TIA program rewards high-performing teachers based on student growth and classroom observations, creating opportunities for educators to earn a six-figure salary while helping districts attract and retain top talent. The program also generates additional funding that allows Harlandale ISD to continue investing in competitive teacher compensation and professional support.

TIA designations include financial incentives based on designation level, campus socioeconomic factors and campus location. Teachers may earn one of three levels of distinction:

  • Recognized: $6,000 - $7,500

  • Exemplary: $12,000 - $15,000

  • Master: $22,000 - $27,000

Harlandale ISD’s newly designated teachers represent a wide range of grade levels and subject areas across the District. Beyond their classroom instruction, many serve as mentors, lead professional learning and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen outcomes for all students.

Harlandale ISD remains focused on recruiting, retaining and celebrating exceptional educators, with TIA serving as a key part of that strategy, according to TIA and T-TESS Coordinator Erica Castro.

“Our teachers do more than deliver instruction, they inspire, support and guide students,” Castro said. “Recognizing their work reinforces how essential they are to our students’ success.”

With these newly awarded designations, Harlandale ISD now has 259 designated teachers through the TIA program, a milestone that speaks to the talent and impact of our District’s educators.

Teachers who received a new designation will receive additional information in the coming days. Congratulations to all Harlandale ISD teachers on this well-deserved recognition.
