The Harlandale ISD Board of Trustees has approved moving future School Board elections to November of odd-numbered years in alignment with the City of San Antonio election cycle. The next Harlandale ISD School Board election will take place in November 2027.
The decision follows several months of discussion, community engagement and feedback gathering, including public meetings and an online survey completed by staff, families and community members.
During the feedback process, community members shared input regarding voter turnout, election costs, trustee term impacts and overall convenience for voters. The Board carefully reviewed this feedback prior to making its decision.
