As students progress to the intermediate grades there is more writing, reading, math, and science than they might have thought. To cover all of the learning that takes place in fourth and fifth grades Gillette has some of the best intermediate teachers in the district.
The fourth and fifth grade are departmentalized. The monolingual students have a teacher that is an expert in the subjects taught. There is a great deal of care and consideration that goes into planning and carrying out lessons for these grades. Gillette is proud of the teams of teachers that handle fourth and fifth grades.
Our fourth grade teachers include Mrs. M Carlos, English reading and language arts, Mrs. R. Sanchez, science and social studies, Mrs. E Luna-Falcon, bilingual all subjects, and Mrs. E. Tello, math.
The fifth grade teachers are Ms. L. Powell, English reading and language arts, Ms. M Zapata, science and social studies, Mrs. M Mayhar, bilingual all subjects, and Ms. K. Isaac, math.
