Harlandale ISD Student & Family Engagement Center proudly hosted Family Build a Bike Night in partnership with Earnabike S.A. Families from Gillette and Bellaire Elementary came together to celebrate the completion of an eight-week program by building brand-new bikes, each equipped with lights, locks and helmets.

We are deeply grateful to the volunteers and bike mechanics who generously donated their time and expertise, guiding our families through every step of the build. Thanks to their support, the evening became a meaningful and empowering experience filled with teamwork, joy and accomplishment.

Next week is Thankful for Science week at Gillette. Students and staff will dress up to show they are thankful for science. Dress up runs from November 18 - 20, 2025.

Families are invited to "Color Your Child’s Learning Journey" a hands-on session filled with creative ideas, movement and helpful tips to support reading, math, Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Adapted PE.

Santa pictures will be available at Gillette! Students can take a picture with Santa for a wonderful holiday memory. Parents will need to fill out a Photo Order Form and return it to school by Thursday, November 20, 2025. Various packages of photos are being offered with a cost of $10.00 to $25.00. Order forms are being sent home today, Thursday, November 13th and should be returned with money for the desired package.


¡Habrá fotos con Santa disponibles en Gillette! Los alumnos podrán tomarse una foto con Santa para un recuerdo navideño inolvidable. Los padres deberán completar un formulario de pedido de fotos y entregarlo en la escuela antes del jueves 20 de noviembre de 2025.
Se ofrecen diferentes paquetes de fotos con precios que oscilan entre $10.00 y $25.00. Los formularios de pedido se envían a casa hoy, jueves 13 de noviembre, y deben devolverse junto con el dinero para el paquete deseado.

Our Middle Schools took learning beyond the classroom at the 15th Annual CORE4STEM Expo hosted by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce at Port San Antonio.

Students connected with major employers and educators like Toyota, Boeing, H-E-B, Alamo Colleges and CPS Energy to explore real-world STEM opportunities in robotics, engineering and technology.

Our Harlandale ISD community came together for a beautiful evening of celebration at this year’s District Family Night: Remember Me Night, a Día de los Muertos themed event hosted at Harlandale High School.

Families enjoyed colorful ofrendas, student artwork, performances from our choirs and the HHS Mariachi, along with games and prizes, face painting, treats and plenty of community fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all our amazing staff who helped make the night so special.

Red Ribbon Week 2025 will run from October 23 through October 31 this year. Check out the activities at Gillette Elementary.

Harlandale ISD Student & Family Support Services hosted a fun and engaging Family Healthy Bingo Night with the support of our partners and Texas A&M AgriLife!

Families enjoyed playing Healthy Bingo, winning nutritious foods and prizes, while students participated in hands-on gardening activities.

Thank you to our partners for helping us create a night full of learning, wellness, and family fun!

Gillette Elementary has begun our FALL FUNDRAISER! We will be selling quality soy candles and highly fragrant products from RANCH HOUSE CANDLES, located in Kerrville, Texas. The Fall brochure will feature 8 fragrances available in candles, tarts, and room sprays. Additional products and fragrances in the brochure can be ordered online. Online orders will ship directly to the supporter for a small shipping fee within a week of ordering. For all online orders, please add your student's name, grade, teacher and Gillette Elementary in the comments section so credit can be appropriately applied. This fundraiser will be used to supplement student incentives throughout the 2025-2026 school year.

Harlandale ISD joined city officials this morning to celebrate the grand opening of the Next Level Urgent Care facility at City Base San Antonio.

Through our partnership with Next Level Prime, staff and their families have unlimited access to high-quality medical care to support their health and well-being year-round.
