We wanted to take a minute and recognize some of our outstanding staff and students here at Adams Elementary!
Employees of the Month:
Mrs. Machado - She has been a phenomenal grade level chair. She communicates well with the team and helps out wherever needed.
Ms. Morales - She goes above and beyond for all students.. If she sees a student in need, she is always ready to step in and help the situation.
Students of the Month:
Joaquin Acevedo - Joaquin is present every day. He is an eager learner. He loves to come to school and always works hard to earn good grades. He's always interested in his grades and will even ask for homework so that he can get ahead and do well.
Damian Gelacio - Damian is a model student at Adams Elementary. Damian arrives at school ready to learn and meets expectations daily. He works hard to make sure he excels in his schoolwork and helps others when he can. He is safe, incredibly respectful, and highly responsible in the classroom and around campus.

Check out the April calendar of events from the Sosa Center. They provide so many resources for our families across the district.

Today we had our STAAR parade, encouraging our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to ROCK their STAAR test tomorrow! They have prepared so hard all year long and we know they are ready!!

Just a reminder that tomorrow is STAAR testing for all of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders! Please make sure your child is here on time. They need to leave all backpacks at home.

Check out what is happening in the art room!
3rd grade pinch pot candles using recycled crayons and scented oil.
4th grades masks are being placed on display
5th grade is finishing up their board games. I can't wait to play them. Do you wanna try them? Look out for an opportunity.

For Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, we recognized our OUTSTANDING Paraprofessionals! They all help our campus run smoothly and are always willing to go above and beyond for our students. We appreciate all of the amazing things you do for Adams Elementary.

Summer sign ups have begun! If you are interested in enrolling your child in a summer program here in HISD, make sure you don't wait!

We have a correction on our April calendar. Please refer to this one for updated information.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Cultural Arts parade on Saturday. It was a fantastic turnout!

Harlandale will be hosting their health and safety symposium on April 5th. See the flyer for more details.

We want to congratulate our Battle of the Books team. All year long they have been working after school to read the 20 books on the Texas Bluebonnet list in preparation for competition. Last week we had our district competition, and though we didn't place, the kids had a great time. We are proud of the way they represented Adams!

This Wednesday, April 2nd, will be the last day to purchase yo-yos! Order forms are available in the office.
