The "What’s Next? Symposiums" aims to provide individuals, families, and students
with disabilities the opportunity to connect with a wide range of resources and services designed to offer long-term support throughout their lives. These symposiums are designed to be a valuable resource hub where attendees can access information about various programs, services, and organizations that can assist with everything from education and employment to healthcare and community support.

Just a reminder that our book fair is starting tomorrow! Parents, if you are wanting to come and shop the fair with your child, you are welcome to join us on Thursday afternoon from 4-6pm. Unfortunately, we are not able to have parents on campus during the school day. Thank you for your understanding!

Our elementary students had a blast dressing up for Career Day! From race car drivers to doctors, veterinarians to cheerleaders, the creativity was endless! It was inspiring to see these young minds exploring all the exciting possibilities for the future. Then today, we hosted our first Career Technology Day. We were excited to welcome high school students from various Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, along with their teachers from Harlandale and McCollum High Schools. They presented to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders all about the programs they are studying and how they are preparing them for future careers.

Excited about Book Fair? So are we! We know that sometimes remembering to give students money may get lost in the shuffle. Did you know that you can set up an ewallet ahead of time? An ewallet is a cash-free option that allows you to add a specific dollar amount for your child using a debit or credit card. You can also share the ewallet information with friends and family and ask them to add funds. For more information or to register for an ewallet account, visit the Adams Book Fair website: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/adamselemspring

We are excited to share an upcoming laptop distribution opportunity for families in our CIS-SA community , in partnership with Compudopt, a nonprofit dedicated to providing computers and affordable internet solutions to those in need.
Details:
Families must register online to be considered. Registration link: compudopt.org/computergiveaway.
The distribution will be conducted lottery-style, with up to 300 laptops available.
To qualify, families must not own a working computer at home.
Selected families will receive a free computer with a 2-year warranty and tech support.
Families will be notified via text and email if selected, so it’s important their contact information is accurate.
Important: On the registration form, there will be a question about organizational affiliation—families should select Communities In Schools to ensure they are considered for this event.

The clock is ticking!
Our 2025 Cultural Arts Fair Cover Design Contest is still open, but the deadline is quickly approaching! This year's theme, "Mosaic of Cultures | Mosaico de Culturas," was inspired by 1st grade student Bradley Gonzales. Whether it’s a construction paper mosaic, painted tiles, or even photography, encourage your child to get creative and submit their artwork.
Don't miss the chance for your child's design to be featured on this year's Cultural Arts program cover!

Congratulations to Elia Rios for placing 1st in our District Science Fair! Elia is in Ms. Lopez' 3rd grade Dual Language class. We are so proud of you Elia!
