Make sure you check out our January calendar to find out more about upcoming events.

Happy 2025! We are excited to welcome our students back from Winter Break tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8 for a great second semester!
We are closely monitoring weather conditions this week and want to keep you informed. As of now, school is scheduled to begin as planned tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 8.
We anticipate cold, but dry weather through Wednesday, Jan. 7 with temperatures as low as 30 degrees. The timeframe we are closely monitoring is Wednesday night into early Thursday due to potential precipitation. We will continue to monitor the forecast closely and provide updates as soon as possible if conditions change.
If it is necessary to close schools on Thursday, Jan. 9, we will make every effort to communicate this by the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 8. However, since weather conditions can change quickly, a decision made on Thursday morning will be finalized by 5:15 a.m., and the notification process will begin immediately after. Families will be notified via text, call, email, social media, and on our website, www.harlandale.net.
Thank you for your patience and for staying connected. Please know we will always prioritize the safety of our Harlandale ISD staff and students when making any decision.

Attention parents, there will be NO CHOIR practice tomorrow afternoon.

Don't forget, Monday and Tuesday are student holidays. We will see you back at school, bright and early, on Wednesday morning!

The future is your story to write… make this new year the best one yet!

We hope that everyone is enjoying time spent with family and friends!

Thank you to the Harlandale Middle School Choir for coming to our campus to sing Christmas Carols to our students. The kids loved it! It was also wonderful getting to see some of our former Wolves!

Reminder that today is the LAST DAY of school before Winter Break! We hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing time off from school and we are looking forward to seeing everyone back in 2025!

The Adams Choir, led by our fantastic music teacher, Mrs. Schumann, gave a spectacular Christmas performance last night. Several students were able to showcase their singing skills with solos and duets and everyone sounded great! Even some of our staff members performed a song as well! We are so proud of our choir students and all of the work that they put into preparing for this concert!

Parents, please be sure that you are bringing your name placards for dismissal. If your student is normally in ACE, you may use the same card that you use to pick them up from ACE. Every parent MUST have a placard in order to pick up a student or you will be directed to the front office. Thank you for your help with this!

The Adams Chess Team, coached by our dedicated volunteer Ruben Espinoza, consists of 18 talented students. These students participated in a two-day campus tournament to determine the top eight players who would represent our school in the HISD Elementary District Tournament. During the district competition, our students demonstrated impressive strategies while competing against about 50 players from other Harlandale elementary schools. We are excited to share that Xavier Carreon-Lopez earned an outstanding 3rd place finish! We're incredibly proud of all our chess players for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. Way to go, Team Adams!
@HarlandaleISD

We had a very sweet parent stop by today to drop off a gift for our VP, Mrs. Lopez, and our social worker, Ms. Garcia. Thank you so much to both of them for their hard work!

Did you know that our city will be hosting the 2025 NCAA Men’s Final Four Championship this year? Our 3rd grade students have been participating in a reading challenge tied to the Final Four, but the city also has lots of fun events planned throughout the year to help generate excitement in advance of the championship, set for April 4--7, 2025 at the Alamodome. This weekend is the Holiday Fan Jam on Saturday, December 14 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Travis Park downtown. Fan Jam is a mobile pop-up event in a truck. Whether you're a basketball enthusiast or a rookie, Fan Jam is your opportunity to hone your shooting skills, snap selfies with the Championship Trophy, snag giveaways, and more. The Fan Jam is an excellent way for fans of all ages to gear up for the excitement and exhilaration of college basketball. Make plans to attend as many events as possible because some will include special guest appearances! For more information on upcoming events, check out the Final Four website: https://www.finalfoursanantonio.com/community/fanjam?utm_source=SALOC&utm_campaign=d01e544d4e-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2024_04_15_07_20_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_-d4fb89473b-293551845

The San Antonio Public Library is hosting a Winter Fest this Saturday from 11am - 1pm at the Pan Am Branch Library off of Pyron. Bring your whole family for The Nightmare Before Christmas Loteria and making your own snow and slime. S'mores and hot chocolate will be available while supplies last.

Parents, we have a few reminders regarding pick up and drop off. Keep in mind that the school doors open at 7:15. Any students dropped off before then will be unsupervised by an adult. Also, we have had several incidents with students playing with footballs in the morning and chasing them into the street. As a result, any balls seen in the morning will be confiscated and parents will be called to pick them up. During dismissal, please be sure to use the crosswalk areas when walking up to the school doors. We have had several close calls with people crossing in front of moving traffic. Lastly, please remember that the school drive thru and parking lot is a phone-free zone. Thank you for your understanding and help with keeping our students safe during pick up and drop off!
