Today Collier celebrated 100 days of school. Some students chose to wear 100 items on their shirts and others chose to dress like a one hundred year old. Even some of the staff member joined in the fun!
Last Friday Collier held their perfect attendance dance.

The 2025 Cultural Arts Fair Cover Design Contest is now open! "Mosaic of Cultures | Mosaico de Culturas" is this year's theme courtesy of 1st grade student Bradley Gonzales.
From construction paper mosaics to painted tiles or even photography, encourage your child to take part in the contest and their artwork could be featured on this year's Cultural Arts program!
This week in the library our students are being treated to a "Book Tasting"! In order to introduce the children to over 200 new books that were added to its collection, our wonderful Librarian, Mrs. V. Cantu, turned the library into a restaurant where students are able to preview the books and write a short review about what they read. What a great way to get our students reading!!
Last week's literacy night was a huge success! We had lots of families enjoy fun activities, listened to beautiful live music, visited the book fair and voted for their favorite Christmas tree!
Thank you to all the families that came out to enjoy the evening with us. Thank you to all the teachers for putting together such great activities and congratulations to 1st grade for being selected as the best looking Christmas tree!

Today we honored our Veterans with a beautiful ceremony. Collier and Ms. DeLaCerda would like to give a special thank you to the Harlandale High school Color Guard for presenting the flags at today's ceremony, as well as, Mr. Gongora for playing the drum during our National Anthem.
This week Collier celebrated red ribbon week with a few dress up days to remind the students to "Say No to Drugs!!" Here is a look at some of what was worn this week! Head over to our Facebook page for more pictures.
Last week Collier had their annual fall festival and it was a HUGE success!!! Thank you to all our parents that volunteered their time and donated to our festival! Collier truly appreciates each and every one of you!!! Thank you to all the faculty and staff that worked hard serving food and working our game booths. Collier would also like to thank the Harlandale Golden Dancers for their stellar performance, as well as our very own Collier Choir.
Earlier this month Collier students were treated to some special presentations. The first presentation was an Anti-drug presentation for our 3-5th graders. Officers from SAPD were here to share how drugs, especially smoking and vaping, are bad for us.
The 2nd presentation was an Anti-Bullying presentation. The students learned how to show kindness toward one another and how to be a good friend!

Collier celebrated Grandparent's Day during its Open House on Wednesday with a live performance from our Kinder and 1st graders. We would like to thank all the Grandparents for all the support they provide to our Eagles!! We LOVE our Collier family! ❤️

Join us for Open House on Wednesday, September 4th from 5:30-7:00. There will be a Grandparents Day Celebration/performance in the Cafeteria at 5:45 presented by the Kinder & 1st graders. All other grade levels can choose to visit their classrooms or enjoy the performance before they head over to their classes to visit with their teacher(s).
