Parents! Tomorrow we will be having Santa Pictures for all 2nd grade students, Mrs. L. Garcia's ALE students, and their siblings. Please send in your order form and payment if you would like your child to take a photo with Santa. All other grade levels will have Santa Pictures on Friday. Also, tomorrow is our first day of our 12 days of Christmas countdown to the Christmas Break. Tomorrow we encourage students to dress like a Christmas Tree. Parents! A reminder that Individual Picture Re-takes are happening tomorrow! All students who were absent on October 25th or who are new to Gilbert since October 28th will be taking a photo. If you want to order pictures please see the information in the image attached. If you want your child to retake their photo please email Ms. Montes at Jennifer.montes@myhisd.net and send your unwanted pictures with your student. Parents: If you are in need of food assistance, there will be a food pantry at Harlandale Methodist Church this Saturday, November 23rd from 10 am to 2 pm or until food runs out. The church is located at the corner of White and Flores. We had a fantastic turnout at our Western Fall Carnival! Our dedicated teachers and staff put in tremendous effort to create a fun, memorable, and successful event. We’re grateful for the amazing performances by the Mustang cheer and choir teams. Congratulations to the newly crowned members of the 2024-2025 Royal Court! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and helped make this event a wonderful experience for the Mustang Community. Next week, from November 18th to November 21st, we will be celebrating Career Week at. Below is an overview of the planned activities: Monday, 11/18: Students are encouraged to dress up as their desired career. Additionally, they are invited to create a poster showcasing their career choice. There will be prizes awarded for the best dress-up and poster designs. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11/19-11/20: We will have guest speakers on campus, sharing insights and experiences from a variety of professions. Thursday, 11/21: Students will have the opportunity to explore careers through our Career on Wheels event. We are looking forward to a successful and engaging Career Week and can’t wait to see the students' creativity in both their outfits and posters. Thank you in advance for your support in making this a memorable experience for our students. ******** La próxima semana, del 18 al 21 de noviembre, estaremos celebrando la Semana de Carreras en [nombre de la escuela]. We enjoyed an exciting Spirit Week in celebration of the Frontier Bowl game! Thank you to everyone who participated: Wednesday’s football jersey/shirt day, Thursday’s opposite team color day, and Friday’s Green Out or Maroon Out were all a big success. We loved seeing the school spirit throughout the week! For those attending the game, have a fantastic time and stay safe. Go Indians! Mustang Parents: Texas A&M has a unique opportunity for parents of children up to age 22 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who struggle with communication. The Coach to Communicate Research Project is looking for parents of children with ASD to participate in a free webinar and have the opportunity to receive individual training for a period of 12-16 weeks. 🎪 The Carnival is Coming! 🎪 The countdown is on—our Carnival is just 10 days away, on November 15th! 🎉 Our teachers/staff are working hard to make this a fun and successful event for all our Mustangs, and they would greatly appreciate any donations to help make it a success. If you’re able to contribute, please submit your donations by Monday, November 11th. This will give the teachers/Staff time to organize and determine what additional items are needed for the booths.
